Carin Noland Tahouri

DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Carin is a movement artist whose work lives at the intersection of athleticism, artistry, and emotional truth.

Her journey began in the disciplined world of competitive gymnastics, where precision and power were forged through rigorous training. As a teenager in Austin, Texas, she transitioned into dance, discovering not just performance but expression. Movement became language.

Her early career carried her across oceans, performing on cruise ships before landing in Los Angeles, where she trained with some of the country’s leading commercial choreographers. She has danced alongside musical artists including The Pussycat Dolls, Nelly Furtado, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Fergie, bringing dynamic presence to stages both intimate and massive.

Drawn to risk and elevation, Carin joined the extreme performance troupe Stilt World under the direction of Trey Knight, becoming one of Los Angeles’ premier female stilt artists. Standing tall beyond her 5’1” frame, she has performed internationally in the UK, UAE, Bulgaria, Russia, India, and Germany, and has walked fashion runways on stilts for brands such as Bench Philippines and India Fashion Week.

Her television credits include appearances on Glee and America’s Next Top Model, multiple Grammy performances, and festivals across the US, Mexico, and Poland.

Today, Carin’s work centers on something deeper than spectacle. Through Movement Canvas and her teaching practice, she creates spaces where music and movement become tools for integration, strengthening the body, clearing the mind, and reconnecting to the soul.

Movement as art.
Sweat as process.
